You will work for 21 days in twelve hour shifts followed by 21 paid days off. The salary goes from $3000 to $7000 per month. All food and accommodation is for free and the costs of transportation to and from the offshore platforms is also free. The monthly net salary for a normal worker in a drilling crew lies at $3000. Through various qualifying measures this can be improved up to $3500. Qualified personal can earn up to $4500. Engineers will earn around $7000.

 

Usually the wages will be paid In US-Dollar and transferred to your bank account. Important conditions are physical fitness and one should not be younger than 18 years or older than 50 years.

CONDITIONS OF WORK AND WAGES

The times of work are 21 in a row at 12 per day followed by 21 days off. This 21/21 rhythm is regulated by international law. WORK AS A REGULAR LABOURER

Helpers have following tasks: removing rust, painting, scrubbing, transporting goods, equipment and loading supplies on board. Also they will have to prepare the drilling rigs by laying the drill rods in the right order and handling them for the drill crews. Also mixing chemicals for the drill fluids as well as removing rust from the gear rods, preparing pipes cleaning and maintaining material.

ACCOMMODATION AND LEISURE FACILITIES

The crew will stay in cabins of a comfortable standard similar to a middle class hotel up to top class, including bath and TV. Service personnel takes care of cleaning and laundry. To compensate the hard physical work there are sports facilities such as fitness rooms, pool billiard, or on larger facilities even a swimming pool. Some are fitted with a cinema, or shopping mall.
